Phase 1: Before You Leave (The Preparation)
We always recommend starting the process while you are still at home and connected to a stable Wi-Fi network.
1. Check Your Compatibility
Before buying, verify that your phone is “Carrier Unlocked.” If your phone is tied to a specific contract with a local provider, the eSIM will not work. You can check our [Compatible Devices] page to see if your specific model is ready for digital SIM technology.
2. Purchase Your Plan
Head to our [Destinations] page and select the country or region you are visiting. Once you complete the secure checkout, keep an eye on your inbox—your unique QR code will arrive instantly.
Phase 2: The Installation (QR Code Scan)
Once you have your QR code, follow these steps based on your device type:
For iPhone (iOS) Users:
- Open Settings > Cellular (or Mobile Data).
- Tap Add eSIM.
- Select Use QR Code and scan the code provided in your email.
- Label your new plan as “Travel” or “ESIM Move” to keep it separate from your home number.
For Samsung & Google Pixel (Android) Users:
- Open Settings > Connections > SIM Manager.
- Tap Add eSIM or (+) Add Plan.
- Choose Scan QR Code from service provider.
- Confirm the download and activation.
Phase 3: Arriving at Your Destination
The most important step happens when your plane lands!
1. Switch Data Lines
Go back to your Cellular/SIM Settings and set the Mobile Data (or Cellular Data) to your new eSIM plan.
2. Turn on Data Roaming
This is the step most people miss! For the eSIM to work, you must Turn On Data Roaming specifically for the eSIM line. Don’t worry—you won’t be charged by your home carrier as long as your primary line’s roaming is turned off.
